A hurricane derailed Kelsie + Pat's plans to elope on Sunday. Thankfully, the stars aligned and they were able to push their wedding day up to Friday morning to beat the rain. The wind whipped through Black Balsam Knob as Kelsie, Pat, and their dog Herman, hiked to the mountain top. We were blessed with morning fog, intense clouds, and dramatic light. We were also fortunate enough to get a few moments of breathtaking unobstructed views at the bald. Kelsie's flowy white dress was perfect for the weather, and I love that she wore her hiking boots. It was such an honor to be one of the witnesses for Kelsie and Pat as they wed beneath a canopy of tall trees. The parting words from their officiant was, "be happy, and be kind to one another". I could not have given a better sentiment to this newly married couple. Here are a few of my favorite photos from their elopement at Black Balsam Knob in Asheville, North Carolina.
